What else goes on at Larkrise?
In term-time weekends we run a hugely successful Saturday Club. This allows local youngsters from all backgrounds to come along and enjoy themselves in our safe farm environment. As with the mainstream students, these youngsters gain enjoyment and satisfaction from working with the various animals, and the pleasure of seeing ‘their’ special animals being properly looked after. In summertime, pony rides provide a popular reward for a job well done.
During the spring and summer we are available to attend local fetes and shows. We can provide a ponies for pony rides; as well as rabbits, guinea pigs and poultry which children can pet and feed.
Another popular activity is summer is children's birthday parties. The youngsters have a lovely time enjoying supervised activities involving the small animals.
Larkrise Farm also provides a local centre for the RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association). We offer safe riding on our own well-trained horses and ponies, and also carriage driving.
