Trustee Treasurer (Volunteer)

Larkrise Community Farm is an Educational Alternative Provision Charity for both adults and children seeking a Trustee Treasurer to join our friendly and committed board of Trustees.

This voluntary role involves overseeing the charity’s finances, supporting budgeting and financial planning and helping ensure strong financial governance as we deliver educational support for adults, children and young people.

This important role will work with fellow trustees and have the support of our bookkeeper to monitor income and expenditure, present clear financial information and be part of strategic decision-making.

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has financial literacy and confidence with budgets and basic accounts.

- Can explain financial information clearly to non-financial trustees and work with auditors and other financial professionals.

- Is committed to our values of education, inclusion and safeguarding.

- Is willing to learn about charity finance and governance (experience welcome, but not essential).

Safeguarding: We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All trustees support a strong safeguarding culture and the successful applicant will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check. Safeguarding training and support will be provided.

Time commitment: Approximately 4–8 hours per month including attending Trustees meetings at the farm.

Bank Staff Support Worker (casual/part time)

 

We are looking for people with experience working with children and/or adults with SEND and/or SEMH needs to join our brilliant team.

This is a highly rewarding role in a caring environment, surrounded by animals, nature and the outdoors. If you care about people and nature, and enjoy making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

The role

You’ll be supporting small groups of adults and young people with additional needs to engage in meaningful farm-based activities including animal care and welfare.

Initially, this is a part time, irregular role to help us during periods of, for example, staff holidays. There is the potential for some regularity to develop in the future.

Requirements

• Experience working alongside people with additional needs and the ability to tailor your support depending on people’s needs

• Equine/animal knowledge or experience working on a farm or other outdoor environment

• Comfortable working outdoors

• A reasonable level of physical fitness

• Ability to work within a team

• Excellent communication skills

• A positive attitude and a passion for helping others

 

Safeguarding

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check, references and right to work checks.

 

Role details: Part-time, flexible hours

Location: West Ashton, Trowbridge, Wiltshire
